Emma’s extensive experience in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorders provides her with a unique understanding in how to identify children who may have ASD. Emma has a thorough understanding of how broad the Autism Spectrum is and how differently the range of behaviours and challenges can present across the spectrum. Emma believes that it is essential to get the correct diagnosis in order to provide the child with the right intervention to address their social, cognitive, and emotional development.

Extensive research has shown that it is critically important to receive early intervention and is more effective the earlier it is received. This will not only benefit a child’s overall well-being but will also help them to achieve their potential within a school setting and enable them to learn coping skills and mechanisms that can serve them for life.

Emma has worked with a wide range of presentations and is able to provide ongoing support for both the individual and their family and within the education system as they continue along their journey.
